Festival Of Pool

This years Festival of Pool will take place in the Sperrin from Tuesday 6th to Monday 12th May. The programme of events is as follows -

Tues 6th - Knockout Cup and Plate Event

Wed 7th - Seniors Individuals (40+)
               Masters Individuals (50+)

Thurs 8th - Senior Individuals Continued
                Masters Individuals Continued
                Under 23 Individuals

Fri 9th - 3 Man Team

Sat 10th - League Individuals

Sun 11th - League Doubles

Mon 12th - 3 Man Team Semi Final and Final

The entry fees for the competitions are as follows -

Senior Individuals - £3
Masters Individuals - £3
Under 23 Individuals - £3
3 Man Team - £9 per team
League Individuals - £3
League Doubles - £6 per team

Players are advised that they can only enter one of either the Senior Individuals or the Masters Individuals but not both.

Important meeting

Following a suggestion at our Captains meeting on Monday 3rd February, that our league put a bid in to host the 2015 NIPA Interleague Event in our 30th anniversary year, a special meeting is being convened by the League Chairman on Monday 17th February in the Railway Arms at 8.00pm. The purpose of this meeting is to study in depth if such a bid is feasible and to gauge the willingness of League members to assist with it. Everyone interested is invited to attend the meeting.

Interleague Round Up

Well done to our 'B' Interleague squad. Under the guidance of Manager Willie Eakin, the team won the Plate Competition at the annual NIPA event which was hosted by the Carrick & District League in the Nortel Social Club on Saturday 1st February.

Our 'A' Team didnt fare so well this year, not progressing out of the group and losing narrowly 6-5 in their first match in the Plate event.
